Amie & Julie Curtis

Amie & Julie Curtis

Amie and Julie fell in love with dance when they were 11 years old, after watching pop groups perform on TV. They spent hours taping the programmes and learning all the routines. They started attending classes and their love for dance continued.
At 14 they had the opportunity to dance with artists such as Peter Andre and Strike at a radio Road Show. From this moment on they knew they wanted to perform.
They went on to perform in various shows and pantomime’s throughout school and decided to take their love for dance further. They completed school and studied performing arts at Cross Keys College, gaining a BTEC National Diploma. They then went on to Bath Spa University College where they studied Dance and Choreography for three years. They graduated in 2002 with a BA HONS.
After University they joined a dance agency and travelled the world backing dancing for tribute acts such as Kylie, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Robbie Williams. As well as visiting beautiful places they got the chance to perform at big venues including crystal palace football grounds, performing in front of audiences of 26,000 people.
In 2006 they danced for an upcoming artist at the Cannes Film Festival in France. It was a fantastic experience and led onto further work for them.

Amie and Julie joined Fahrenheit Dance Studios in 2005. As well as dancing in Cardiff’s Senior Team KRAVE. They also choreograph for the Under 14 team CELCIUS.
Branching out in Fahrenheit they are now Centre Managers at the Fahrenheit Dance Studios in Swansea. They look forward to their future with Fahrenheit.


Georgina

 
Georgina

Georgina has been dancing from an early age but for the past seven years has trained in mainly Street and Jazz. In 2005 Georgina was thrilled to be selected to join Fahrenheit, Cardiff at their first set of auditions. It was from this time that she decided she would like to make her career in dance.

Since starting at Fahrenheit Georgina has taken part in dance competitions across the country, and has successfully danced as part of a team, in a duo and also solo.

In September 2006, Georgina commenced studying a full time preliminary dance course at Rubicon Dance where she trains in ballet, contemporary, smooth jazz, street jazz, yoga and palates.

Georgina has gained experience in teaching through both Rubicon and Fahrenheit and her team of 11 – 14 year olds from Swansea Fahrenheit achieved second place in their first ever competition at the recent Welsh UDO championships. Teaching has strengthened her passion for dance and she hopes to go onto study dance at higher level and to become a professional dancer.




Kane Silver

 
Kane Silver

Kane was born in Cardiff, he started performing at the age of five, when he stared in the opera Madam Butterfly as "Trouble" with the Welsh National Opera and toured the UK. At nine years old Kane was introduced to Dance when a local community dance teacher visited his school to do a workshop, Kane was hooked and his enthusiasm showed, he was invited to join an all boys dance group called "Rubicon Boys".

When Kane was 15 he successfully auditioned for Fahrenheit Dance Studios, Cardiff and is now a member of the team "Newblood." Since then Kane has competed in many U.D.O street dance competitions and has been ranked on many occassions.

Kane is currently on a fulltime dance course at Rubicon Dance studios studying Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz and Street dancing.This is a foundation course that will ensure Kane has the skills needed for a successful career in Dance.

He has recently started teaching at Swansea Fahrenheit studios, He is enthusiastic and dedicated with this role, He looks forward to the future with fahrenheit.
